A talented Year 7 student from Stratford’s brand-new Bobby Moore Academy, part of the David Ross Education Trust, achieved a remarkable fifth place during a regional trampolining competition.
11 year-old Brogan McIntosh celebrated her incredible achievement at the prestigious London Region Trampoline Championships, which was hosted by British Gymnastics.
Her success came as she competed against talented gymnasts representing various clubs from across the capital in the Under 15 Girls Intermediate category.
The aspiring athlete, who is a member of Newham’s Skywalkers Trampoline Club, also celebrated victory last year when she was crowned the London Trampoline Champion for her age group.
Brogan said: “I am over the moon with the final result, it was really tough but a great experience.
“I have learnt a lot about how I can improve my trampoline skills and have been really pushing myself to be the best that I can be.”
Stuart Burns, Principal at Bobby Moore Academy, said: “Brogan is a very talented and dedicated young sportsperson. Her talents not only lie in trampolining, but she is also a keen diver and currently holds the title of Tang Soo Do European Karate Champion.
“Everyone at Bobby Moore Academy is thrilled for Brogan on this remarkable achievement and we are certain that she will continue to thrive during her time at the academy, where she will have access to world-class opportunities and facilities to help develop her talents.”
