Students at Havelock Academy scoop top marks in A Levels
Sixth form students at Grimsby’s Havelock Academy, part of theDavid Ross Education Trust are celebrating after receiving their long-awaited A-level results today.
The students and staff celebrated as 100% of students achieved one or more A Levels or equivalent, with strong success stories at both A Level and BTEC.
Emma Marshall, Principal at Havelock Academy, said:
“We are very proud of our Year 13 cohort at Havelock Academy, with students achieving top grades in many subjects. It is very exciting to have students going off to universities all over the country to study a range of subjects including Biomedical Sciences, Sports Journalism, Musical Theatre, Criminology, International Business, Psychology, Creative Writing, Film, Social Work and Law. We also have students who are due to start apprenticeships closer to home.”
Head Boy, Andrew Hill, has achieved A*, A, A, B and will study Biochemistry at Kings College in London. Maisie Bebbington achieved Distinction *, Distinction in her Diploma in Performing Arts, as well as C in A Level English, and will be studying Musical Theatre at the University of Central Lancashire, renowned for its high-quality provision in the performing arts. Head Girl, Joanna Dlugoszewska will study International Business at Loughborough University having achieved top grades in her A Levels.
Ms Marshall added:
“We could go on and share many more very exciting success stories and we are very proud of all of our graduating students. It is a testament to all of their hard work, and to our excellent sixth form provision at Havelock Academy.”
