New principal joins Malcolm Arnold Academy

A new principal has been appointed at the Malcolm Arnold Academy in Northampton, part of David Ross Education Trust.

Mrs Megan Morris has been appointed to the headship role and will take up her post from September 2020.

Staff and students are delighted to be welcoming the new principal – Mrs Megan Morris who will bring years of experience with her from previous headship roles, most recently at Heath Lane Academy in Leicestershire.

Mrs Morris is bringing over 20 years of teaching and leadership experience since arriving in the UK from Australia. In her first headship role, at Heath Lane Academy, Mrs Morris has led the school to achieve its first ‘Good’ Ofsted and earned the status of most improved secondary school in Leicestershire, based on the Government’s key ‘Progress 8’ measure.

Following her successes, she was shortlisted for Leicestershire Headteacher of the Year in 2019.

Mrs Megan Morris said:

“I aim to fulfil the role of Principal with integrity, energy and determination. I look forward to the privilege of working with staff, students and the whole community of Malcolm Arnold, to build on our strengths and provide a world class education for all.”
