Fairfield Academy Ranks in Top 250 State Primary Schools in England
Fairfield Academy in Grimsby has been ranked in the top 250 state primary schools in England. The academy, part of the David Ross Education Trust, was listed in The Sunday Times’ top 250 schools based on the aggregated average scaled scores achieved by children in reading, grammar and maths from SATs taken in 2019.
Fairfield Academy ranked 185th overall and 9th in the East Midlands region – an area which includes Derby, Leicester, and Nottingham. They are the only school from North East Lincolnshire to appear on the state school list.
Following this great achievement, Principal Kizzi Matanga expressed her enormous pride in her school.
Kizzi Matanga said:
“I am so thrilled that Fairfield Academy has been named among the top 250 state primary schools in England. At Fairfield, we are continually striving to excite and motivate our pupils through a rich and inspiring curriculum, which supports each child to reach their full academic potential. To see the work of our students and staff recognised in this way is truly the greatest testament to the education that we provide here.”
Stuart Burns, CEO of the David Ross Education Trust, said:
“Congratulations to everyone at Fairfield Academy for this wonderful accolade. At the David Ross Education Trust, we take great pride in providing a world-class education for all of our students, and Fairfield Academy sets an excellent example of how transformational that can be. This ranking reflects the academic excellence of the school, and we can’t wait to see them rise through the ranks even more in future years.”
