DRET Celebrates Students' Success in GCSE Results
Students and staff from the David Ross Education Trust are celebrating this year’s brilliant GCSE results.
Schools provided a range of extra support for Year 11, including running Saturday and holiday revision sessions, holding masterclasses, and providing additional mentoring across many subjects.
Some of the numerous impressive results achieved include:
- George Baker from Barnes Wallis Academy achieved grade 9s in science and English and grade 8s in maths, French and geography and science. George will go on to study A-Levels at sixth form.
- Angel Zhou from Bobby Moore Academy achieved eight grade 9s and one grade 5 and will study further maths, maths & physics.
- Isaac Kingham from Charles Read Academy achieved eight grade 7s and a distinction star in sport.
- Miles Foord from Charnwood College achieved grade 9s in biology, chemistry, mathematics, further mathematics, physics and statistics, grade 8s in both history and PE, along with strong grades in English language, English literature and Spanish.
- Top performing students at Havelock Academy included Connor Smith, Paul Mann, Denis Matei and Mohoshina Mohammad who achieved an impressive array of grade 9s and 8s across their subjects.
- Olivia Jones from Humberston Academy achieved six grade 9s, one grade 8 and one grade 7.Olivia will be joining the Navy, and we wish her further success in her chosen career.
- Phoebe Loake from King Edward VI Academy achieved two grade 8s in history and English, a grade 7 in religious studies and three grade 6s.
- Alice Battersby from Skegness Grammar School achieved three grade 9s, 6 grade 8s and one grade 7 and is joining the Sixth Form to study A Levels at Skegness Grammar School.
- Kinuri V Kankanam Arachchige from Lodge Park Academy achieved eight grade 9s and one grade 7.
- Rowan Dimmock from Malcolm Arnold Academy achieved seven grade 9s and two grade 8s.
- Amelia Lincoln from Thomas Middlecott Academy achieved two grade 9s, three grade 8s, one grade 6, four grade 5s. Amelia is going to Boston college to study A-Level law, psychology and history.
